Steps In Applying
1. Complete both parts of the application. Mail to Renaissance Preparatory School,
719-721 S. State St. Chicago, Illinois 60605, Attention: Admissions. Mark confidential.
Be sure to include student's essay and the application fee of $25.00 in check or money order form made payable to:
Renaissance Preparatory School.
2. Renaissance Preparatory School will call to schedule a visit and will send forms for your current school to forward school records to admissions.
3. Your student's visit for one or two days will include an interview and some assessment.
4. The Admissions Committee will make a decision as soon as the Admissions File is complete with application, application fee, essay, visit, interview, skill assessment, and prior school records.
Admission Criteria:
Renaissance Preparatory School admits students who are academically and/ or artistically talented. In the visit and the interview, we are looking to see if the student and school are a good match, if the school can serve that particular student, and the extent of the student's commitment to a school community. We assess during the visit to ascertain generally what skill level the student has achieved in each discipline, not as intelligence testing. We do not admit students with known behavior or discipline problems.
